Some of you may know I'm also a musician and I really love to write music.
Ever hear a song in your dream, and then wake up and remember the song? This song came from a dream I had.
Click here for mp3It is unfinished, and only guitar/vocals. The guitars are the actual recording I made sitting at my computer when I woke. I recorded the vocals some tonight.
I had a dream one night as I slept in a motel room in Montreal. I was dreaming that I was sitting in my room back at home, but it was not my room. It was much larger, and the walls were completely gone, and my vision was such so that I could see infinite distance by focusing. I was sitting in a chair, playing guitar and as I looked out over the world, every sound, every noise fit in beat, and in harmony with the song I was playing. I dreamt that I saw people sitting in their rooms too, playing along with this song, this music that was coming from all of the sounds. I saw people playing violins, playing piano and other instruments, people washing dishes, people working on a house, children playing in a courtyard. All over the world, people of different origin, all of the animals sounds, and language all fit in with the song that I was playing. It was a bizarre dream to say the least. I woke up around 4 am sitting there in my cold motel bed, strange from my own and I remembered the part of the song that I had been playing in my dream. I sat up and got my guitar, and booted up my computer and recorded the idea. (quite to the dismay I'm sure of the people staying in adjacent rooms)
no worries if you don't wanna do it!
